Please review the Apply for a Home web page to ensure you meet our guidelines before submitting this form to TSHFH. Please note that this Interest Form is NOT an application for a Habitat home, but provides us with your contact information so that we can notify you when we have our Home Interest Meeting at which time you will receive an application.

QUALIFICATIONS

2) Have you been employed by the same employer for at least 1 year or have another steady source of income? As a homebuyer, you must have a stable source of income. If you have other income, you still may be eligible for a Habitat home.

3) Have you established good credit over the past 24 months? Because you are buying a home, the application for the Habitat home is really a loan mortgage application. Only families who show the ability to repay the mortgage in a timely manner are accepted.

No - If you made slow or late payments in the past, you may still be considered. We will need to see that your payments during the last 12 months have made on time. Please do not proceed with this form

4) Does your total household income from all sources and from all wage earners living with you fall between $20,000 - $38,000 per year?

5) Is your financial history clear of bankruptcy? Or if you have declared bankruptcy, is it fully discharged?

No - Filing for bankruptcy does not disqualify you, but we require that the bankruptcy be fully discharged by the court at the time of the application. You must also prove a current record of good credit (see question #3). If you meet this criteria, please continue. Please do not proceed with this form

6) Are you currently living in substandard housing or overcrowded housing?
As part of the application process, members of the Family Selection Committee will visit your home to answer your questions. At that time, we will also evaluate problems with your housing.

In addition to your current employment, think about how this may add 30-50 hours of extra work per month.
